Lake McClure is located two hours from major airports in Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland. Though McClure is relatively close to the major metropolitan areas in central California, it retains it secluded mountainous charm.  A one hour journey from Merced or Modesto leaves you in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range at beautiful Lake McClure.  Lake McClure sits below the beautiful Yosemite area.  Yosemite runoff flows through the Merced River and pours directly into the pristine waters of Lake McClure.  Each year our houseboats are setup in one of the best private coves on the Lake. 


Directions to Lake McClure
coming from Merced:
Exit off of 99 onto highway 59 east. After roughly 40min-1hr take a right on Barrett's Cove rd (note: not McClure Point Recreation area). When you get to the entance gate, let them know that you are just dropping off. If you are driving yourself up, and plan on leaving your car there for the week, it is $6.00 a day. Let them know you will be staying on a houseboat so that you don't get charged for camping. After you get through the entrance of the park, take a left towards the marina/gas dock. We will meet at the end of the dock near the restaurant 11:00am. At 11:00am we will all shuttle out to the houseboat.

Directions coming from Modesto:
Exit offf 99 onto 132. Stay on 132 for roughly 40min-1hr until you hit Merced falls road (note: in Modesto, 132 makes a couple right and left hand turns, so make sure to look for signs). Take a right on Merced Falls rd. for roughly 1-3miles. Take a left on Barrett's Cove rd. When you get to the entance gate, let them know that you are just dropping off. If you are driving yourself up, and plan on leaving your car there for the week, it is $6.00 a day. Let them know you will be staying on a houseboat so that you don't get charged for camping. After you get through the entrance of the park, take a left towards the marina/gas dock. We will meet at the end of the dock near the restaurant 11:00am.
