Mike Schwenne, West Coast Camps and its coaching staff have been blessing to have been featured in Wakeboarding magazine and Alliance Wakeboard Mag more times than we can count. Covers pages, contents pages, Advertisements, articles interviews, photo annuals, and stories. One of the most meaningful coverage we've received is our annual "coming up trip" with Alliance wakeboard Mag. Each year the magazine selects four of the most elite up and coming young riders and brings them out to camp for a week of progression. The specialty camp is designed to give these riders a platform to learn new tricks, show off their talent, learn how to create their own niche within the industry, and receive magazine and television exposure.

At Schwenne’s we met up with all the West Coast Camps boys, including Jared Couch, a knee-surgery-recovering Mike Buckle, Brad Larkin and Ryan Anderson. Nineteen-year-old Jr. Men’s rider Propst thought he’d died and gone to heaven when he found the candy drawers on the houseboat. Then he showed the Nor Cal boys he knows how to throw some style into his riding. Couch was a little TO’ed, but not because of Travis’ riding. Propst was caught taking a catnap with Jared’s stuffed monkey and that set off some childhood alarms.
